thoughts on this light grey suit for summer wedding?

What do you think of this for a summer day time wedding? If I went with it, would it be ok to have my groomsmen wear black suits to contrast with me?

That suit is fine, but black at a daytime formal event usually means a funeral.

Will the grey suit make your skin appear too light in photographs or is it the opposite?

Opposite. Your brain is wired to detect and emphasize differences in shades. Put an object on a light background and the object looks darker.
