Thoughts on This eBay Coat: Off-Season Bargain?

Thoughts on this ebay coat?

Seller bought it from ebay herself, and it has no tags, so the manufacturer is unknown. She's "pretty sure" it's 100% wool, though what kind, who knows?

I'm considering it just for the hell of trying the ebay purchase thing. If it turns out to be good quality, it might make a good weekend coat come winter.

How DO you guys manage to consistently find good stuff on ebay? It's seems so damned hit or miss! 95% of the suits/jackets I've seen are so dated-looking or cheezy it's laughable. And I'm not even a snob...

Sometimes these can really work out well. For me this means a "Harris Tweed" charcoal jacket that looks and feels wonderful (about $30) and a HSM sport coat I just received today that I paid $10 for. It fits like a friggin glove. Minor tailoring in the sleeves and skirt needed. But for such low prices, even if they are bums (which a couple have been) it is still worth it.

Bidding is currently at $1.99, what the heck. Go for it and see where it ends.

I'd say go for it too. That looks like wool to me.

Margaret, I've been meaning to ask: (and no offence) are you female? If so, what's your interest in men's clothing?

Male. For screen names, I often just pick the first random thing that comes to me.

...except this time, I found that -- against all odds -- you guys already had a 'Vaclav'. What, are the chances? So I just went with 'Margaret' instead.

Just kidding, paranoid freaks.
