Thoughts on this cemented shoe from Paul Smith?

Hey guys! Happy to be here and have a quick question regarding a curiously priced pair of shoes from a fairly respectable shoe maker.

I can't for the life of me figure out why these shoes I'm about to link would be priced anywhere near their cost, considering that they are cemented and seem to be constructed from corrected leather.

Is this a case of a brand just selling out its fame and making cheap shoes? Or am I missing something? Am considering maybe even just buying these, if I find enough reasons to justify the gamble on their quality.

Thank you for checking out my post!

Your surmise is, I think, correct. That name on the label clearly adds £s to the value!

They are indeed cemented and Paul Smith as a typical diffusion brand label has no specialist shoe making skills like Cheaney, Edward Green etc.

Despite this, they are decent high street mall shoes. I've never paid RRP on Paul Smith - they are worth half the list price these days, which is how much they sell for during end of season sales. I have a few pairs and like their comfortable low heel for office work and the quality leather used. The sole is nothing special but the PS logo and unique styles make the designs interesting.

Just wait on it till the next sales - they get heavily discounted and are then decent value for their B grade build quality.
