Thoughts on these shoes

This is a thrifted pair of shoes that I have had in my closet for a couple of years. I kind of like the look of them but can't convince myself. Nothing fancy, Brass Boot made in Spain. They've got some age to them and some nice patina developing, sort of an antiquing. Thoughts on age of these?

How would you wear them? Would you wear them at all? With what? Any thoughts are appreciated.

They look rather clunky for my taste. Those strips through the top look cosmetic, and make me think of them as casual at best. If I were to wear them, It would probably be with something like a navy blazer and chinos.
