Thoughts on these jeans

I've always liked the look/fit of these since the first time I saw them, but never pulled the trigger because these are "stretch" and have lycra in them:

However, I've recently thought that they wouldn't make a bad travel jean, and would probably be comfortable on a long plane ride/drive/train ride, etc. Wouldn't make that great a dress jean, as they aren't as elegant looking as my Acnes or a pair of Rag and Bones. But I still can't decide if I'd want to own a stretch jean.

I personally really like the two pairs of 7FAM jeans that I have that have stretch material in them and they get fairly common wear because they are very comfortable, and some of them look good, I wouldn't pay $160 for them though.

Hmm... I don't see where it says stretch. Anyways I think those are the nicest Diesel jeans I've seen, but if it was me I would rather buy another brand for $160. Keep in mind, that's coming from a general distrust rather than personal experience since I've never owned Diesel anything.

Half the places that sell them list them as all cotton, but I've seen them in person, they are stretch. Also, Revolve has them, and there is the discount.

I bought a pair of DKNY's about 3-4 years ago exactly for this purpose. They've got a bit of stretch and feel like I'm wearing PJ's. Unfortunately, they've been worn to the point that they're too big on me but I can't really complain as I got them for $30 marked down from $80. I haven't worn them for about a year because of this, but they saw a lot of action in europe and on every flight I've taken simply because of their mobility.

I'm normally not a fan of stretch jeans, but this thread has made me consider finding a replacement pair.

I have several pairs of jeans with Lycra, including a pair of Diesel Levans that I recently picked up. I actually like the stretch and they fit very well.

However, as much as I like the fit, the denim feels thin and lightweight on my Levans. The quality is not on par with some of Diesel's heavier denim. Nvertheless, if you're not wearing them everyday as you would dry denim, I don't think you'll wear them out.

the fit is quite different but the stretch denim on the new diesel thanaz is very close to raw and quite thick and substantial. much nicer than nudie stretch denim.

agreed. I tried those on and really liked them. not sure if they're still avail but I have a feeling they might go on my "regrettable non-purchase" list.
