Thoughts on these Campaniles? Too snouty? (Many pics)

So my Yoox Campaniles arrived today. My first impression was that Baron was right and that they're a bit too square/snouty. But then I looked at them next to the EG 888 and was surprised they weren't that far off. Anyone want to chime in? Keep or return?

Comparison shot. You can see that the Campanile is a bit more elongated, though the toe itself doesn't look that much more square.

Size wise, in case anyone's interested, these run large. I normally wear a 9 but these are being sold as a U.S. 8. They're a bit snug at the toe, but I suspect they'll stretch easily enough. I'd guess most people would say they run a half-size large, but my low instep means I can drop down an extra half. I'm kinda thinking this might look good once they've had the daylights beat out of them. I just have to figure out what I'd wear them with. Thoughts? I'm a bit out of my comfort zone here.

I wanted to go off on them, but I really don't think they're too bad, and it's an interesting color. In one of the photos (5th down), they do look "snouty", but given how the other photos look, I think that was just a bad angle. Side profile is great.

I think the narrowness of the toe looks uncomfortable. They seem too elongated as a result, even though comparison shows they're not that extreme. I like the style but would feel self-conscious wearing them myself.

I was on the fence for a couple of the pics, but they look fine to me.

I think it depends more on whether chiseled toes will be passe soon. It might reduce the useful lifetime of them if so.

If you got a good price on them, keep em.

Too snouty. And my toes would never fit in such a low toe box. So I oppose them. The side-by-side is actually an interesting demonstration of how subtle differences make a big impression.

the leather looks fine and it seems to be a nice brown.
even in the comparison shot i find the campanile to be very clumsy. maybe due to the prominent lip and the broad stichtes of the welt(seam?).
with the green the "corners" look more rounded to me, whereas on the campanile they look more "edgy".
second i´m not sure about the throat-brogueing. but this is a minor issue. either way, you decide and you know how to wear these shoes.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I think that one photo draws attention to the snoutiness because it's just one shoe on its own, without the other to balance things out. I almost didn't include it for that reason, but I then I thought hey, show all the angles.

These remind me a bit of the Tramezza Torrents I sold a while back, only slightly less aggressive stylistically.

It seems alot more square compared to the EG. It also seems that the EG's toe is slightly more bulbous while the campanile is flatter - contributing to the boxy apperance. But thats just trying to judge from a picture.

I like everything but the shape, about which my initial impression remains the same. Just a bit too square, although it is a pretty close call.

I think the shoes are fine, and would work well with the last Corneliani jacket i described ... I think they would serve you well, and in my opinion are slightly more of an summer shoe in tone than winter.... It might be the lack of medailon that makes the "snout"more pronounced ...

I'd be flattered but the other SF unit of measure that I can recall is the "pidal," and I'd rather avoid that association.
