I bought the AE Belmont as a nice casual shoe to wear on vacation in Italy. I needed something that looked decent and had a rubber sole. I was cool on them out of the box, but spent some time polishing the tan (not exactly chili) leather to a nicely burnished and highlighted chili color. I have come to really enjoy them and appreciate the niche they fill. They are a pretty classic style, the last is neither overly chunky or narrow, they have dainite soles and they don't really look like 'dress' shoes. I find them perfect for jeans/chinos/rainy days with wool pants.
