Thoughts on or experience with grey birdseye?

I found this nice Oxxford suit jacket, but I'm concerned about the birdseye pattern of the fabric. Judging by the pictures, the fabric achieves the dark grey color seen from distance by contrasting a charcoal background with with white birdseye dots.

What I'm wondering then, is how the fabric will look up-close. Will the polka-dot-like effect that can be seen in a zoomed-in picture be visible to the naked eye, and if so, will it be overbearing? Additionally, how will the pattern look in pictures; is there any digital distortion due to it?

Birdseye weave is used for suits, not odd jackets. The birdseye effect is more noticeable in grey than in navy. I like navy birdseye a lot but have mixed feelings about grey. I suppose moire is a risk with low resolution photos or video but probably not likely.

Yes, that jacket requires trousers in the same fabric. Personally I much prefer odd jackets/trousers combinations, but that fabric is supposed for making suits.

I used to have a wool-cashmere suit in mid-grey (darker than the one you linked) birdseye and I thought the fabric was very pretty. I think photos struggle to adequately capture the effect. But in line with the others, I don't know what you'd pair it with if not itself.
