Thoughts on AA Cardigan?

How is it holding up for everyone? I haven't bought any yet but I'm considering using my AA gift card on one. I really like the color of the silver one, but I'm curious if it's holding up in the wash, etc. I also kind of like the new heather / red-stripe flex fleece hoodie, but I kind of shy away from buying items that are so easily identifiable as American Apparel.

I've had no problems with mine; no loose strings, buttons falling off, or anything. I washed it a few days ago and let it hang dry with no negative effects.

I imagine the quality is the same as the rest of AA's lineup: wildly inconsistent.

I hate them. Cardigans should be at least a knit cotton, preferably wool. The AA cardigans are easily identified as what they are, t-shirt quality cotton with a deep v and henley buttons.

While were on the subject, what other brands make a good cardigan? Probably nothing in the same price range though...

zara makes a nice one in a cashmere/silk blend. It's a bit more expensive though.

I got a great, black, merino wool cardi from H+M for $39. I agree with Halifamous, the AA ones just look super cheap.

Stitching inside armhole area's becoming undone. Buttons are about to fall off. @ 38USD a piece it's a ******* rip off. I'll never buy anything from AA again, ever.

I did. Too baggy, the fit's mediocre, for a size S it fits huge.

I'm pretty sure it's baggy, as far as I know, most of the crewneck sweaters and cardigans are huge. But the V neck on the other hand's very slim fitting.
