Thoughts on a potential ebay purchases

So, I'm on the prowl for a new suit to add to my collection due a (somewhat) changed body. Over the last two years, I've managed to get really lucky with one off the rack Ralph Lauren purchase, and with two good eBay finds, a Southwick for about $40 and a Joseph A. Bank for about $20 (but it seems those are relatively few and far between). I have a fairly difficult body shape - I'm around 5'8", 5'9", but I have extremely short limbs (which has proven fairly problematic) and previously weighed about 175 pounds. So roughly the best fit for me was about a 39 short or regular, but with a 34 waist and 29 inseam. But I've lost at least 20 pounds at last measure, and an older pair of jeans with a 31 waist now fit like a charm. So, I found the following three suits up for bid on ebay that seems to meet my specifications pretty well (especially as I'm more partial to dark, three button, pinstriped suits), and wanted to solicit the opinions of my fellow men before bidding: A more formal Armani: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=006 A more casual Calvin Klein, which I like for the flat front pants, and could be well suited for summer? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=015 A YSL, I could live with the two button closure: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=011 I'm pretty proud of my track record of successful eBay purchases, sans one particular shirt (though I was ultimately vindicated and remunerated). I haven't placed bids on any of these yet - so can I ask for some assistance in keeping my streak alive?

The Armani is fake, the YSL is not custom, is licensed, and is old. Don't buy any of them.

May I suggest you provide some indication of how much you can afford to spend and perhaps some esteemed members may be able to advise you on other items to try.

BTW, the Armani appears to be fake. The Eagle is not associated with the Gorgio Armani branding.

Don't be in a hurry to spend you money. Spend a month looking at the various threads on this site and you may look back.

Sorry dude, but they all look wack. I'm pretty sure the armani is fake.

It's extremley hard to judge the quality of the fabrics given the pictures, but none of them look very tempting. None of them look particularly slim fitting either, and from your description, you're pretty trim.

You would be better off buying a suit Zara or H&M who both make slimmer fitting suits at a relatively low price. H&M will let you buy jackets and pants separately, so you can mix and match sizes to fit you. I don't know why short limbs are a problem, you can always get a tailor to shorten the jacket sleeves and move the buttons up.

That eagle has been used in connection with the Emporio Armani line but never looking like the fake you are considering.

I would also recommend passing on all three of those suits.

I'm not sure how "short limbs" are such a problem. Any tailor can easily shorten the sleeves of the jacket and inseam of the trousers.

If you like the current suits you have, you may be better off just having your suits re-tailored to fit you as you are now. It shouldn't be too much trouble to bring in the waist of the pants and jacket.
