I know nothing of the economics of fashion, but its seems hard to fathom such a relatively popular designer struggling.

I have a feeling he is just as eccentric in his finances as he is in his fashion line, the first part of the article certainly doesn't make him out to be a wise spender. I hope he gets out of this rut, unlike the many sub culture oriented brands out there, there really isn't and can't be another TB.
