Yes, it's just like looking in the window at 346 Mad Ave, isn't it?

For the life of me, I don't understand how they didn't pick someone more different from their traditional style.

Maybe Browne is smarter than we're giving him credit for and he's exposing the "Emperor's New Clothes" syndrome that's rampant in the sartorial/fashion world....putting on these ridiculous shows, getting praise, laughing his ass off in the privacy of his manor, and continuing to laugh all the way to the bank.

I wonder what the reactions of those sitting at the show were...??

he can obviously design a conservitive suit if he wanted, so why not have fun in the one area he can. im sure he knows he will never sell his runway stuff, but he doesnt need to.

I love how every season there's a thread like this. At least Thom Browne is reliable as a source of humor.

I'm surprised Jovan hasn't posted yet about how wearable his clothes are.

EDIT- Does anyone know when we will see his Brooks Brothers collection? I'm curious how it will turn out.

Indeed. It must be plenty ego-boosting to know you can trot out a collection that would get you tossed in week 1 of Project Runway and still remain a multi-millionaire darling of the giltterati.

Maybe he wants to make sure he doesn't get typecast with the whole Brooks Brothers thing?
