I just visited the Nordstrom's twice a year men's sale. What a complete waste of time. The shoes were unspeakably poor. A few odd Allen Edminds in sizes 14 and 16, some Ferragamo glue job bit loafers, and lots and lots of pointy shoes and bowling shoes.

The clothing was not much better. A handful of Canali shirts at $130 or so, some decent Trafalgar belts, Zanella trousers, HSM suits and jackets, Canali suits marked down 30%...

In the Internet age, I have just about lost all interest in brick and mortar shopping. Why nab a much-handled and re-folded Canali at $130 when I can get a Borrelli from Lance for the same price? Why pay $900 for a Canali suit when I can get two St. Andrews from Steven Aver for the same price.

I would not waste your time on this one, at least here in Raleigh.

I was down in NC over the holidays and stopped into Soutpoint to the Nordstrom's sale on Sun and it was as you described. I was looking for some PS shoes and they do not stock them, or anything worthy of the trip. If I remember correctly this location used to stock Santoni a few years back but not anymore.
