Love the 8000 last, and really love the look of the Vale. I'm not crazy about museum calf from what I've seen in pictures - I much prefer EG antiquing as on those Edwardian Barksdales.

You're amassing a legendary collection.

8000 last is their best last imo.

OMG!! Really love the chestnut museum. Do the monks have vertical back seams along the heel (i.e. one piece leather)?

We had a discussion about this recently (someone posted pics of a wholecut without a back seam or any seam for that matter) and I think we concluded that it was extremely difficult to do. So - pretty cool...

Awesome, truly!

Andrew, there was a thread in which Bobby Kennedy Jr. said he has dozens of Kenneth Coles and wears them because Kenneth Cole is his former Brother in Law, and friend.

Are Edward Green or John Lobb current or former Brothers in Law of yourself?

Guys, in person the "museum" colors are much more subtle. The flash makes them look much more extreme than they are. Dark brown museum claf basically just looks dark brown unless you are really looking for the subtle highlights.

i completely agree. The museum calf is exquisite!

I also think the color balance on my monitor (or Aportnoy's camera) may be a bit off. I recall the brown parisian and the chestnut parisian both a bit darker or maybe the word is more saturated as a color than they seem here.

I also see some of that on the EG edwardian. The flash seems to be washing out some of the antiquing.
