Are these out of date or alright for a younger guy on a winter jacket? Deciding whether to keep them or have them changed.

Horn is much nicer in my opinion.

I dislike them on younger guys. To me, it makes me think that you're wearing your father's jacket or picked it up at a thrift store. Not that there's anything wrong with either of those things. I never cared for the look. Older men can pull it off easier, IMO.

You guys think so? I've always thought that tweed jackets (which I'm assuming the OP is sort of referring to) look weird without leather buttons. I have jackets with both kinds, but I prefer the leather.

The more I think about it, the more I think that horn buttons are an artefact of the 80s and 90s and leather buttons are the more classic AND current choice.

My thinking as well but I haven't bothered to change the buttons on my one tweed jacket that has them.
