Hey folks, I've read a lot of posts on this forum already and have appreciated learning so much from everyone already. My restrictions are *great* in the purchasing of my first suit, but I would appreciate some helpful guidance along the way if anyone is willing to offer it - so here goes: I have a $500 credit on a suit from Men's Wearhouse. I've visited a couple of locations and the CS reps (should I call them that?) have been less than forthcoming about the quality of a lot of their lines. I, for one, can't tell my ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to suits and their quality. I will explain a little more about what I am looking for. A navy/darker blue, or a charcoal suit. Nothing too trendy, nothing poly/synthetic. I am 5'11" about 175 lbs. A slim fit would suit me best. Judging from everything I have read (tier lists, help threads, etc), there seems to be a much less distinction being made in the lowest tiers and was hoping that this thread may be able to remedy that for my purposes. I'm not unwilling to spend a little bit of money (my credit being only $500 after all), but don't want to unnecessarily if I can get something halfway decent for 500 or under. I have omitted many of the brands if they are clearly out of my price and style range. Again, I know there isn't much to be working with, but would appreciate any help on the matter. The list: Calvin Klein, Jhane Barnes, Joseph & Feiss, Joseph & Feiss Gold, Joseph Abboud, Kenneth Cole, Kenneth Cole New York, Jones New York, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Perry Ellis Portfolio Cheers everyone, Adam edit: I must have my measurements wrong, so I removed that until I can find myself a length of tape. Thanks fishy.
