I went to Singapore recently and saw that they were having HUGE sales all around Orchard Rd. during Christmas. I saw this beautiful looking thing at G2 Black Label (apparently, it's the 'premium' line for G2000, an Asian brand) on sale for SGD300 (USD198) from SGD800 (USD529). It's a black, single-breasted, 2-button suit with side vents made from Super 140s wool. It has this 'Woolmark' sign on it as some sort of 'seal of quality' even though I have no idea what's that suppose to mean. Anyway, here are some fit pics and I would really appreciate some comments on how the suit fits. I was wondering if I'm showing way too much cuff and how can I fix the pants a bit more. I took the pants to be hemmed till 33" but seems like it's flaring a bit too much and I need to get it fixed and hemmed by an inch more. Some details: Inside lining of the pocket: The Woolmark label: And the watch I was wearing, just for kicks:

What's wrong with black? It's versatile and great for dinners around here in this region. Plus, I already have a charcoal suit, anyway.

Also, it kinda attracts lots of dust and lints :-/

Nah, I'm alright with black, its just that the rest of this forum isn't.

I find black attracts more lint

The jacket cuffs do look short. You could probably also shorten the trouser cuffs a bit if you like that style. Some people like full break. although your left (my right) trouser cuff looks like its pooling in the fourth picture. It's a little hard to tell black on black.

Also, and take this with a grain of salt, but I have concerns about taking in the sides since it appears that your side vents are flaring when you button up.

All in all, nice suit. Everything you would like to fix can be done easily.

Are his jacket cuffs too short, or are his shirt cuffs too long?

Picture 3 makes me think its the latter.

All the G2000 stuff I've seen when in Singapore / Malaysia has been pretty ordinary but that looks reasonably good and doesn't have any polyester. The suit looks quite good - it's pretty boxy and looks quite roomy for you in the body. Full retail at S$800 seems like a lot. The woolmark logo isn't anything special.

That may very well be true cause I don't remember seeing so much lint on my charcoal suit. I think lint could probably stand out more against black fabrics.

I think the general consensus is that the pants are too long (Surprisingly no one mentioned that the pants are flaring at the bottom) and I'm showing way too much cuff. I've looked at different pictures of 2-button suits around here but I can't see how it's possible to take in the sides. I'm afraid my belly will pop out

Time to do sit ups and crunches!

I'm actually wearing 2 different kinds of shirts. I was wearing Topman's long sleeve shirts in the first 3 pictures whereas for the last one with a tie, I was wearing G2 Black Label's shirt. The quality of the G2 shirt is noticeably better than Topman's due to the feel of the material and the buttons as well as the stitchings. However, Topman's shirt is slimmer compared to G2's.

It's also kinda weird considering I specifically asked the salesgirl at G2 for a shirt with a LONGER SLEEVE to accommodate my long arms.

I didn't think about trying on a 46L because I thought it's more suitable for people above the height of 6ft and the length of the jacket is longer. I didn't it also concerns the sleeves as well :-/

The side vents flared a bit because the dry cleaner pulled a rush job on it after commissioning the work to them for a WEEK. It's time to change dry cleaner.

Anyway, regarding the pants, I don't really like the current look of my pants. I hope to get it altered soon to look like 'proper' pants without so much break and 'pooling'. I may also need to check with the tailor to see if he can stop the pants from flaring.

G2000 suits are seriously over-priced for the kind of quality that they give. Their G2000 line of suits are made of 'Teflon' or something like that. It's a mixture of wool and polyester and it would usually cost about MYR699 for a whole set. This G2 Black Label line seems to be the only line of suits by G2000 with 100% wool and I think as a result the quality of the G2 Black Label suit is noticeably better than the regular G2000 ones.

What do you mean by 'boxy'? I thought the thing was pretty slim already...
