This FIH tie

Will this tie go okay with a dark navy suit and chestnut colored shoes from C&J or would a brown shoe be better? If it matters, I am placing and order for the Selborne and Finsbury in chestnut burnished calf.

I am not normally attracted to brown this is a nice Marinella tie.

Brown ties rock, and I would wear it with either chesnut or dark brown without worry.

it will work, but might be slightly macabre. I prefer to wear something a little livelier.

own and navy is the new thing, I have seen lots of guys wearing these two combinations. The shoes should wrok as well but brown ones might be better.

i would go with a black shoes. light chestnut shoes with navy is to me , very affected looking. and the tie adds another hue of brown . making it confusing. dark brown (although good with navy suit) will look matchy with the tie.
thus the black shoes.

White or light blue, maybe even a blue pencil stripe.
