I'm a man but will anybody notice if i'm wearing this which says that it is 'women's' (what's the diff anyway?)

A lot of differences, ie. cuts, pocket placement, button placket placement...

Aside from the differences outlined by onix, which are all pretty noticeable in themselves, it will also be cut with wide hips and a bust in mind. Unless you have a bust you will not need this. If you do it up it will look like you have a bust, albeit a rather deflated one.
