Thinking getting a fedora, advice needed

Since you're on the short side you definitely want to stick with short brimmed hats - think less than 2". That hat is 2 1/4" brim. I'm not a fan of the style of crown on that hat either.
It's also advisable to get a fitted hat (59cm or 60cm etc) rather than S-M-L. Unlike a ball cap, a fedora can really catch wind - if the hat is too loose you'll lose it or find yourself walking and holding it in place.

Fedoras are great - like most things, you get what you pay for. Quality of the felt etc.
I prefer the darker colours for winter - Grey, Black and Brown are all nice. Find one that compliments your style.
