1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Looking at gaming machines on newegg.com. Damn, you can buy a lot of machine for 1-1.3k these days. Six cores, > 3.0 gHz, 8-12 gig of RAM, 2-4 gig of video memory. I'll do dual 24" screens.

Is anyone else playing Cata? I hear agro and mana management went back to vanilla style.

I downloaded the three day trial of the last version. Never got into it. I like RTS games where you build a civilization--- civilization, colonization, age of empires, etc---- but can't get into RPG where you control one character, like WoW or Diablo.

You can't judge a good MMO until you progress and are running some serious encounters. I'll help PL you. No homo.

I was looking at Rift today. I've been wanting to get into a game from day one.

I'm also thinking about the new Star Wars MMO. In my heart of hearts I know it will be a flop. [IMG]

I think Kyle is having enough difficulty getting laid as it is, thank you very much.

I built my own, it's a lot of fun.

I'd just keep waiting it out for Diablo 3.....going to be sooooo awesome.

    WoW still sucks.

I leveled to 85 and raided a little and just couldn't get back into it. Last time the game was really fun was Ulduar.

Are the reports that healer mana and dps agro reverting back to more vanilla style true?

You had to watch your mana more as a healer than you did previously. Tougher to top people off too, so the healing game had a little more decision making rather than spam one button with no consequence.

    Aggro can't recall.

I'd suggest you get the i7-2600 instead of the 6 core i7-970s, I don't think you really ever really utilize all 6 cores and it'd be about twice as expensive for slower speed.

I have dual 24" monitors and it's pretty awesome, I do not play wow though so I don't know anything about cata. A friend of mine played it for a week before quitting "forever."
