    No, she's a small 90lb asian girl.

Her husband is a chef, I highly doubt it. Makes it even more mind-boggling.

^^ Depending upon what went into it, I could see getting close to that amount if you're really picky about the ingredients. If you're buying less common, harder-to-find varieties, it would be very easy to spend $20 on cheese alone. Add in the cost of good pasta, organic spinach, and any other ingredients, and $40 isn't astronomical.

It could certainly be done for much less, but I've also been shocked at the cost a few times when trying new recipes. This is particularly the case when the recipe calls for either spices I don't have or good/less-common cheese.

^^ Good point. Even decent olive oil can be pricey, let alone the really good stuff.

so this dude is legitimately depressed and has some serious problems... I sent him a note last year that was like, look if you need help or anything, just call me blah blah blah and i was genuine and serious.

Anyway, this is what he posted today...

‎: Again...If you have no intention of contacting me or responding to my texts, just fucking defriend me. I'm tired of begging people to hang out with me. It's profoundly demoralizing to be in such a vulnerable place and to still face rejection from people once considered friends. Thanks for making me feel like a goddamned fool. I don't think I deserve much, but I know that I deserve better friends than this.

Just about everything he posts is the same.

Pisses me off sometimes as well. A really good friend of mine is going through some tough times, moved back to the city she used to live in to be "around her friends"...while I am one of the few people who has always been there for her, and will always be there for her, unconditionally.

I mean, I consider myself a Christian but comments like that just seem so strange to me...

I hate people quoting the Bible for the most trivial things in their lives...

its like thanking god for winning a game, or your kid's game... because we all know that in sports, god likes to choose sides.

My grandad told me a story when I was 10 which stayed with me all my life...

He did spend 3 years fighting in the tranchees before getting seriously wounded at the age of 20...

He never understood how the French were going to church asking for victory over evil when the Germans were doing the same thing at the exact same time on the other side..

That was one of the many surreal things of the first world war.

My favorite short story is The War Prayer by Mark Twain. Really puts things into perspective and makes you think about your actions.
