1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

This is probably a good place to mention Acid's comment on my FB after I announced the upcoming arrival of my 4th child, " I'm glad that you have conquered erectile dysfunction! ". :nodding:

You gotta separate that wheat from that chaff, bro.

Edina hasn't been a part of my Facebook sphere in many moons. Every now and again, he'll post something on NK's wall and ask NK to pass it along to me, but, other than that, ain't no Edina in my feed!

A friend of mine is a working actor in LA, but he's not exactly setting Hollywood on fire. He's had some bit parts on a handful of shows, and he had a recurring role on a basic-cable show that wound up cancelled, but that's about it. Basically, he's making some sort of a living at it, but he's in his mid-30s, and there aren't any signs he's going to do particularly well.

Said friend just posted a link that apparently claims there aren't enough actors to fill roles in upcoming pilots. Now he, and all of his struggling-actor friends, have started with the :censored: about how the supposed actor shortage is BS.

I'm sorely tempted to post, "maybe they meant 'there aren't enough good actors...'"

I don't understand. Should people be exploring more advanced methods of prayer?

Run under the headline "I think every glamour magazine should run this chart every time bikini season approaches. Or any other season, for that matter."

I don't get this, even from a "lets all be comfortable with our bodies and not fat shame people" perspective.

You can't deny that some cuts and patterns of swimsuits are more flattering on certain body types (even sticking to just 2-piece suits). What is wrong with a publication writing a "how to dress for your shape" article? If we had to tell a big dude what kind of suit to wear, we would try to help him find the most flattering cut. We wouldn't tell him "who cares, you should love your body and wear this unflattering suit with this giant windowpane check". ...we'd advise him toward the things he would look best in, which will be different than what a rail-thin male model might look good in.

Similarly, if someone asked how to get in shape, we wouldn't say "fuck it, round is a shape". Presumably anyone reading an article on "how to get a bikini body" might actually be hoping for some information on diet and exercise.

You've hit on the underlying premise of such things for such people: I don't give a fuck how I look and it pisses me off that some people actually give a fuck how they look. Out of respect for me being a slob everyone should be a slob.

Oil pulling. Just swish organic, unrefined coconut oil around in your mouth for 20 minutes and be healthy!

All you fibromyalgia malingerers have no excuses now.

Back when I was a poor I used to make deodorant out of coconut oil. It was ok, not terrible.
