She was also pretty skinny. She was a size 8 or something, but sizes were completely different back then. She would be a size 2 or 4 in today's close, if I remember correctly.

Do you mean Satan? I think Satan is a guy. (You can tell because his name is similar to Stan, which is a guy's name.)

That was supposed to quote the marilyn monroe thing from a few pages back, but it didn't happen. Probably because I celebrated Thanksgiving with a holiday wake and bake.

From one of my favorite drama filled FB friends...btw this is a dude.

"As I get older(or push people away) i dont know which it is... It seems that Im getting as close to completely alone as I could possibly get. I had 1 person, that was a mass text say happy thanksgiving to me. No one ever returns my calls, no one cares to talk to me. this may be an annoying status, but im seriously so miserable. have been for about 5 months now.. I wish I knew what to do. I dont fit in this world."

He sounds like he really, really needs help.

I had a friend who used to say stuff like that. I say "had" because he's dead now. I know those people can be annoying, and perhaps your friend is more dramatic than legitimately in a bad place, but it's just something to keep in mind.

+1. In my experience, people don't typically say things like that unless they're reaching out for a lifeline. Of course, the problem is that the way they reach out for a lifeline often leads to the opposite result.

Rumor has it that he takes a lot of pills. His story is long, but long story short is that he's pretty crazy. He was dating some 18 year old girl or something and went crazy after they broke up. His posts about her were always awesome. His post about "pushing people away" is true, I see him bickering with people on FB all the time. I guess it's sad, but you would have to know the guy to understand.

    Suicide and Facebook don't mix.

In college, my best friend and later roommate was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I tried taking care of her during her second manic attack (a mistake) before she eventually was arrested for assaulting a police officer. A few months after being released from the hospital, she slit her wrists. After her death, her Facebook account was deactivated, for which I am thankful.

Last Feb, a friend from high school put a shotgun in his mouth. For whatever reason, Facebook didn't delete his account. Now I have to read saccharine messages posted on his wall every few weeks. It's my friends dealing with it, I know, and perhaps my earlier experience made me into a cold bastard, but I wish they would stop. I could remove him from my friend list, but I like going back and looking at pictures of us growing up (a number were uploaded). Not suggesting that what my friends post are dumb, only that suicide is way too delicate a topic to have a Facebook presence.

Out of curiosity, anybody know the Facebook policy on profiles of the deceased?

Regardless, the guy who posted the suicide scene, as well as the people who liked it, really make no sense to me.

EDIT: After thinking about it, I still don't understand what he would get from posting that. Was there any sort of context?

I don't know about their official policy, but I have a couple of friends who have died and their accounts are still running. Occasionally their family or friends will post from that account, usually on the anniversary of death or birthday. It does get awkward sometimes when a friend posts something dumb like "haven't seen you in ages, hows it going?" and other people have to explain.....
