Sadly it doesn't really surprise me that a grad school could flip out and go on a killing spree. Practically everyone I know suffered through bouts of depression/alcoholism/extreme stress. He'd just taken quals too, not good for the psyche.

"If Boston or Chicago can use force against an organization that sells chicken because the organization says they have a Biblical view of marriage, what stops them from using force against other organizations that have a Biblical view of marriage, namely Churches?"

    I find that strange..

I do not mind paying taxes to help less fortunate people around me...

That's the way these taxes are spent which is my issue...

Most of us have benefiated of tax payer money for their health ,education and so on..

    (not my friend)

the guy works at a local bank, doesn't clear more than 50k (and that is generous). Unless the qualifications for being considered part of the 1% have changed, this guy is a moron.

I never figured out why the alternate spelling phenomenon caught on like it has - for every awesome alt-spell name there's perhaps 5-10 that are cringeworthy with 3 r's and a silent Q.

FWIW I think Nico is a good name, but I already have a cousin who goes by that.
