neighbors are bumping the carpenters. Not complaining (she’s got an amazing voice) just a strange thing to be broadcasting to the neighborhood.

I have long been confused (and somewhat irritated by) hibachi and fondue restaurants. I don’t get the benefit of paying premium restaurant pricing for the privilege of waiting for your food longer and/or having to cook it yourself (bonus wtf for places like Melting Pot that make their dining rooms so dark as you attempt to work with tiny pots and boiling oil).

My friends, since they know i hate Benihana and Melting Pot and enjoy trolling me, sent me the news that both those restaurants are offering curbside takeout. So what exactly will be in the bag? A bunch of raw ingredients? Or fully cooked meals in a styrofoam container?

And if the latter, will this pandemic finally make us all abandon all these ‘experiential’ pretenses and force these restaurants to just serve us the ******* finished dish in the future??

In the words of the Jerry Hubbard (the great Fred Willard on Fernwood Tonite) "It's not food. It's FUN.
