True story: my mother's POS car stopped running when I was 16 and she could not afford to buy another POS. The summer I was 17 I worked ****** off and bought my own car, which I allowed her to put in her name and use, so I could get cheaper insurance. All I wanted was the car on Friday and Saturday nights. After the car was in her name she told me it was hers and I could only have it Saturday night and she would call the police and say I stole her car if I took it out on a Friday night.

There's how to "ground" a kid and teach him responsibility.

Good thing I had worked all summer the year before and purchased a motorcycle. :slayer:

Yes, I did. As a 17 year old wtf was I thinking to do something nice for the woman that gave birth to me? WTF was I thinking that a parent would honour and respect a son that could provide for the family what her lazy ass could not?

Then I listen to you ***** when your step-brother drives the 50k car your mother gave to her 21 year old son, a son that apparently would be helpless in the real world without the Bank of Mom.

And people wonder why I'm a cynical bastard.

That's actually not a bad idea most never drivers can't drive and a golf is a good car for new drivers (no matter what the insurance says) for one he will learn to drive before being let loose in 2ton 400hp gunship of a car and parking a 5 meter long car isn't very easy, so let them practice before driving something more difficult.
The only problem is that you can easily get 35hp out of a gti.

FTFY

I WAS ONLY JOKING YOU OLD CYNICAL BASTARD.

and yes I probably will be helpless, who knows. well, not entirely. I know I would be able to become a construction worker/doing renos, but I do not want that for myself. I want to use my intellect, not my hands. And instead of being so cynical and pessimistic, why not help out and try and expel your expertise unto me?

Heh, I was more ranting just because it all fit together seamlessly.

Best expertise I can give you is keep getting education in useful **** and look for niche things career wise. Won't ensure success but that's what lead to my modest accomplishments. Also, never invest with Nameback.

I'll only invest in the brand of drink he likes most...their stock is sure to skyrocket with his drinking!
