I get that. But seriously, how do you not feel pangs of intense hunger throughout the day?

It seems like you subsist on 800 calories a day.

I don't get pains of hunger through the day. Actually, if I eat anything throughout the day I get pains and such. My stomach is fickle. I eat probably 2500 calories at night.

That is an impressive number of calories for one meal.

I can't eat like that at night--I can't sleep if I eat that much when I get home.

PB has been over this before. As a fellow weight looser please give him some space. Probably not the best thread for this.

Whats with these people who carried some dude across the finish line of the boston marathon after he collapsed?

I mean, good on them for being helpful and whatever...but that guy didn't finish. Like, literally...he wasn't going to be a finisher.
Now what? If he talks about having run the marathon, isn't he a liar? He attempted the marathon. Sucks that he was out .2 miles from the finish, but I am sure there are others who tap out a mile from the finish, and others who quit 10 away. If you are going to measure success by some arbitrary measure of distance, you had better stick to it (i.e. he ran 26 miles--he did not run a marathon).

So those people totally ruined his story...maybe he would have been able to lay there for 20 minutes and then limp or crawl to the finish. But now, he has to be like "well, no, I didn't really finish...I made it 99% of the way but some people had to carry me the last 1%"

i like the way this otc guy thinks

one of my (former) colleagues used to run the marathon. problem is, she was kind of fat, and so she would have to take like 2 weeks off of work after to recover her knees.

    yeah, she was canned.

Betimes I pick up collapsed marathoners too, except that I carry them backwards (away from the finish line). Then when they get their wits about them (Gatorade) they be all like "What the hell I thought I was closer must have hallucinated of events."

To be fair, don't you have to complete a marathon somewhere else to qualify for Boston? So he has probably done 26.2 at some point and already has the sticker on his outback.

Its not like this guy was making his once in a lifetime attempt of a marathon...he was attempting a famous (and somewhat difficult) race and couldn't do it. Suck it up and try again next year.

I bet the people who carried him are going to use it as an excuse for their time...

If you're local you can enter w/o qualifying.

If you travel you have to run under a certain time.

    I think.

I domed a bottle of fireball in 2 hours. 6 natty ice's then I blacked out. I had permanent marker "tattoo's" all over me. There are some funny naked pictures of me.
