It is my neighborhood's second home.
Irregardless of whether I am in a home or public ecstablishment, I call it "the facility."
Can always just call it the head.
Oh so it's a bar, of course drunk people will be confused.
What if the bathroom lacks a bathing facility? It really isn't a half bath--- as it really was never a bath anything.
Or perhaps they are looking for the toilet?
So people in a cafe need somewhere to have a rest?
Cafe /= ship.
I didn't make up the word, but all educated people know what it means. Perhaps graduate from middle school where they call it a "lavatory" and you'll figure it out.
And I guess from your comment that no educated person knows that a sign in an "establishment" that reads "bathroom" means toilet? Either way the room where one excretes waste is a toilet, but that seems for some reason to be a shameful word for Americans, much like titbit.
