1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Or betimes his shirt reveals that he has broad back muscles like someone who spends a lot of time rowing (rowin') a boat, which prompted an inquiry (interrogative comment spoken with a rising inflection) from his hallway companion, which inquiry could be misunderstood as direct address?

Hey there lasbar no I do not resemble Rowan Atkinson at all. I do have a child named Rowan, but I abandoned him when he was of baby and no one even knows about that. Maybe she knew the abandoned child, and maybe the child looks like me (how would I know I abandoned him.)

(Only one claim in the aboveposted post is true.)

Herschel backbacks... why? Suddenly absolutely everyone MUST have the exact same, shitty looking backpack. I totally don't get it.

um no & no. $50 for the "regular" one, $120+ for the stupid rucksack-ish looking monstrosity I wouldn't consider cheap for some nylon and a strap. the "regular" one is just that... the same as any other backpack on planet earth, and again the rucksack is fucking ugly so that doesn't jive either. Same for RVCA, Uggs, fucking yoga pants, Beats headphones, fake baller sneakers, etc. Point is any actual justification does not exist. How does the sudden herd mentality of "oh I just absolutely have to over-spend on a poorly made product" happen? Is it just "oh I'm an idiot, and all these other idiots are doing this so that's what I'm going to do"?? (clearly that's a rhetorical question) lol.

The Herschel rucksack looks pretty good, although no one would mistake it for a premium item. The backpacks are just normal backpacks, but in my day everyone wore jansports and I can't recall anyone getting upset about it

Jansport kept it real and didn't make ridiculous marketing statements like "
Herschel Supply Co. manufactures the finest quality backpacks, bags, travel goods and accessories. Our goal is to create timeless product with a fine regard for detail."

I don't wear backpacks. I could never deprive the world of a portion of my chest the strap would cover.

Lol I never saw that. Could it be that someone is translating Chinese ad copy? They love the hyperbole like "eat our mango and feel your soul a refreshing breeze"

What is that largish nylon purse with leather handles and pull tabs that every woman and her sister has in at least one color combination?

No kidding. And IIRC, Jansport's stuff is pretty well made. They just doesn't make ridiculously pretentious claims, and charge a fair price for a practical item. Simple, basic, classic design, priced in a sane and fair manner. What's not to like? There's a reason stuff like LL Bean and Lands End sells so well.

It's an issue with a lot of new companies. They understand that marketing is way more important than quality.

Also not Chinese copy. The guys who started the company are American and they have a fine regard for detail!

I was thinking this recently as well. There answer lies in two words: They're cheap.
