1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Not really an I don't get more of an I've been wondering.

What do Jehovah's Witnesses do when other witnesses come knocking and want to sell them some they already have?

They'd generally know where all the Witnesses in a territory live. Otherwise, they'd probably just say hi then move on.

They also keep track of where former Witnesses live, and won't visit them (once they know where you are, anyway). One way door.

as much as action movies are big here, sappy love stories are as popular.

    and slapsticks.

this is how you'll learn to do sexual favors in jail.

I have noticed slapstick as well. Oddly, the two weeks I spent in Cambodia I heard people talking about Mr. Bean more than I have heard about him in my entire life.

There is a guy in my office who when answering the phone uses his first name as the greeting. I always thought that this was weird although common. The interesting this about this particular guy is the inflection of his voice. He answers the phone with his name, but it always sounds like a question as if he is guessing who is calling him on the other end. "Robert?"

It's called a high rising terminal and it's very common among women. It's also unbelievably annoying.

Nothing is more annoying than vocal fry. I hear some young women and I swear 90% of their speech is in vocal fry.

I won't watch that video. I have this weird aversion to videos. It takes me like a year to finally watch videos people send me.

It's definitely a generational thing IMO. Vocal fry is sexy in that "this-chick-must-major-in-communications" kinda way. For obvious reasons, I understand why It wouldn't appeal to the MrGs and Piobs of the world. But tagut knows what's up

If finding vocal fry annoying is "old" I don't wanna be young.
