I was walking in soho one day and this couple stopped me and asked me where the Ugg store was. All I could think of saying was, "really? Out of all of these people, you think I would know where the Ugg store is?"

I gave my stylish sister a hard time for still owning and periodically wearing uggs. She rolled her eyes and said that they're comfortable, end of story. I don't care for them but I guess when it's cold out and you're running to the store it's a reasonable go to shoe.

I don't get people's need to be at a perfectly comfortable temperature at all times. I mean, its winter I don't mind being a little cold walking to the train. Being bundled up to my eyeballs to keep me at 72 degrees is not needed.

Never heard of Uggs, that's a new one for me.

ya and what else is comfortable? sweatshirts, pajama bottoms...& (F)Uggs. there seems to be some separation among the masses that stylish, nice-looking clothing is uncomfortable. this slippery slope of "comfort as king" has resulted in people going out to dinner dressed as if they were at a sleepover. not sayin that about your sis... but you should keep giving her a hard time! :fonz:

I have some facebook friends who are always posting about how their ex-husbands are in jail or not paying their child support, or in general just really awful people. I don't get why they'd do that: if their exes are that horrible, that reflects pretty badly on the women for having married them. I know I don't talk that badly about exes precisely because whatever I say about them reflects on me.

Similarly, I don't get why people share intimate details of their personal lives on Facebook for essentially all the world to see.

    Wow, two questions one answer!

People are vain and stupid. Most people post things like that so that everyone goes, "WOW he's a scumbag! You get him girl!" We all want to be special buttercups and not be in the wrong ever.

That would probably be the correct answer to at least 95% of the posts in this thread!
I'd add, though, that if people were vain and not stupid, they'd refrain from speaking so badly about their exes.

I don't have a Facebook anymore. I only share my stories of drunkenness and debauchery with style forum.

I have a pair of these:

They are warm, comfortable and don't look like the standard Ugg boots.
