1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I don't get Yahoo News at all. Today I read a story about how Brian Billick bailed out Thom Brennaman during the Bears-Browns broadcast last Sunday. You see, Brennaman had dropped his glove just before they came back on air and Billick tapped him to let him know the cameras were rolling.

    That was the story.

When you can't understand why the world is in the state that it currently is in just read the comments to any news article in Yahoo news and it will make complete sense.

Betimes I read the comments at Yahoo and I think every one of the commenters must be trolling. They say things that are so stupid that no one could really mean them in earnest. But then I think it's not very likely that 99% of the commenters are trolls and I get a sadness to me.

(Sometimes I troll by saying impossibly stupid things, just to see if the other commenters will pick up on it. Not here (don't troll here) but at KISS sites and whatnot.)

    Smartphone games.

They're all so fucking boring. How do people spend hours playing them?

Have you ever played 9 Innings? It's great because it's baseball and it's blissfully repetitive.

Nope and I never will. I've only played the major hits: fruit ninja, angry birds, candy crush, etc.

They all fucking suck. The touch interface just doesn't lend itself well to playing more sophisticated games, IMO.

    I underutilize my smartphone's potential...

I actually think less of people who play video games.

Other day someone told me I had a "heart of gold." I didn't get that at all I said "My heart is made out of tissues and leg-a-mint's whose names I don't pretend to know. But they're not called "gold" that is a medal."
