It should be noted, however, that they want to be Led Zeppelin really bad.

Over the years, you have built up a certain credibility on Styleforum, no two ways about it. But all of a sudden you are starting to chip away at it.

Maybe you're just playing a joke, sort of like when Devo opened for themselves as a corny Christian rock band called Dove, the Band of Love.

No, they do not. I have rarely seen three guys as happy to be themselves as Alex, Geddy, and Neil.

No, no, you have it wrong, the lyrics go, "the timing, the structure, did you hear, he fucked her?"

Furthermore, the first sentence says, "Mapping the surface features of farflung alien planet is a tough task, as a simple example illustrates."

    1. farflung isn't a really a word
    2. I don't need a simple example to tell me how hard of an endeavor such a thing must be!

Wrongity wrong with wrong sauce. The Ramones are the anti-boy-band.

The Ramones invented an entire subgenre of music, made a grip of classic albums, and inspired three generations of rock and roll bands. Blink 182 wrote a bunch of irritating novelty hits that were played on MTV reality shows for about 5 years.

You know Blink 182 is still making hit music 20 years later? I don't buy your opinion of the Ramones, lyrically and structurally they are no different. They are all a look.

That's ok, we can agree to disagree and I will continue to be right and you will continue to be completely wrong.

Blink 182 also helped create a sub genre of music during a period that was dominated by Grunge. Your point isn't valid, ~P ~Q

what are you're thoughts on The Strokes?

(the strokes are a very very guilty pleasure of mine... the wife HATES them, but I at first hate-listened to them, and eventually was smitten).
