There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    I believe it.

We flew from ATL to NY a few years ago, and the only way to make it reasonable was to go through Newark.

I thought the same thing back when we came up to Athens/Atlanta, but I was surprised at how wrong I was.

Like I mentioned, there are a couple of routes that are very reasonable - I can get to Tampa for $200 round trip, sometimes a little less, and Chicago was a good deal from what I recall (though we had to fly into O'Hare and out of Midway - but for the most part there's no "volume discount," so to speak.

its true... JFK-SFO is shockingly cheap (direct flights no less) sometimes well under $300 roundtrip.

Definitely. I don't know if it's just because they figure they've got you by the balls (probably) or if there are some really high access charges/taxes that the airport charges airlines, but it is stupid expensive to fly directly to/from Atlanta. Sucks.

We routinely pay $400 pp round trip from LGA > ATL. Most other similar-distance airports are about $200-$250. Like I said, SFO is about $400 round trip, and that's, what, 4x the distance?

I have been with my girlfriend for four years and I have never been out to Seattle to see her family. This summer that is going to change though. :plain:

Seattle is a lot further away though... Also, my father in law has had a bunch of health issues, so that has been taking us there more often than we might otherwise go.

I pay that much, and sometimes a bit less, from FLL or MIA, to ATL to SFO. So I guess the FL to ATL leg is free?

I also pay a little over $200 FLL to LGA rt

I had a nitrous oxide inspired insight about this about a year ago: they are not awesome. They are just heaps of adipose attached to the thorax. Whether this was a good insight is another question, of course.

Sesame oil can make a dish awesome, but even a half a drop too much can totally ruin it. It is crazy. It is contrary to the cruller example. You know, like, one cruller is awesome, two crullers is twice as awesome. Not so with sesame oil.

was it Delta by any chance? no surprise.. try flying in/out of Cincinnati (CVG) sometime. Historically and consistently one of the most expensive airports in the US. Delta has a stranglehold on them :-/
My parents roundtrip CVG-LAX were over $700 per ticket... absolutely nuts.

I don't get the kitchen counter/cabinet spam that keeps getting posted in GC.

    Green toads, as well.

I'm basically trying to book that flight. Actually, I'd prefer Reagan, but Dulles would be OK if it were substantially cheaper. The prices I'm seeing are just a shade under triple that $130 you used to pay, and I have to buy three tickets. :fu:

You may already know this, but if you're headed into DC, factor in the much higher ground transportation costs from Dulles in the decision if you're tempted to go there vs Reagan

She's a fucking idiot. Furthermore she majored in Political Science and will probably end up making decisions for citizens of this country.
