I grew up in (the bad part of) North Hollywood when I was very young, so I'm curious.

Adults ridng around NYC on those razor scooters. They're often semi-out-of-control - I shake my head in disbelief every time I see one barreling along the sidewalk...

    amen.

One was barreled down by a semi truck not long ago. I'm not saying amen to that in any way, but some might.

Wasn't it like a woman in her mid to late 60's.

50's I think, and while she was riding to yoga class (which seems like an activity that somebody who rides a scooter in their 50's would do).

on a similar note, I don't understand why there's so many of those giant 18-wheelers riding around Manhattan. Maybe for building construction, ok, but I see a ton of them each and every day. They're loud and big, and IMO unnecessary. I'd ban them, but they're probably all unionized or some shit.

Unnecessary how, a small supermarket can easily get a whole truck load of goods twice a week etc., so you need to move some goods around.

I'd prefer it if they were smaller. That is all, nothing will change my mind.

I feel the same way about city busses. Get rid of all of them.

i hate busses too. But I'd probably hate having to deal with all of the cripples and geezers that would now populate the subway.

They generally put bus routes in stupid places. Clogging up 14th st, when there is an L train under it, clogging up broadway when there is an N,R,W, it is just annoying. And bus drivers think they own the world. Assholes.

Cars with fart cans. First, I don't get why you'd want to make your car sound like a fart. Second, they always sound like they're about to burst an artery farting yet they go at a grandma's pace. Lastly, if you know your car is so slow why draw attention to that with a fart can?

That is one thing I truly will never understand. I don't think they even understand why they put those exhausts on their POS cars either. I mean, it is not even hipster ironically either, they are dead serious.
