No, they're all sh!tty. That one is just sh!ttier than most. Not as sh!tty as Love Shack, obviously, which is quite possibly the worst song ever recorded.

Putting these assholes on the air isn’t “exposing them to the light” or “showing both sides of the story” it’s giving them the oxygen that they desperately need. That’s what the morons who love Rogan don’t seem to understand.

LOL you are such a soft-headed snowflake .

I don’t (and will never get) this, but it seems to be the common practice in business communication now. Is it the same for you guys?

If i request something from someone, and that person doesn’t want to do it or give it to me, they will simply not respond. It drives me nuts because most of the time, I’d accept no for an answer if they gave me a reason, and if i get an answer i can move on, instead of waiting and possibly needing to follow up later. It’s as if they deign me not worthy of a response and explanation.

My suspicion is that this the corporate equivalent of ghosting, and if it is, fùck all of you spineless shitș without the most basic of social and communication skills

I see this too if there are multiple people who could answer. If so, I will @ people and call them out.

There may be people who think I am guilty of this, when what is probably happening is that I think it will take more than 5 minutes to write/perform, so I move on to other things and never find the email again.

Or, in other words, I think there is a bit of an argument for more phone calls rather than less - sometimes you may think something is trivial, and you may actually need 2000 words of background on the options. An interactive give and take may actually be the way to lower mean time to resolution

Why don't you just call them? When I need sh1t done, I'll call them first and then email them.

I think these are very legit explanations. Let’s say that I’m referring to cases where it’s very clear that I’m asking a specific person and it’s clear to them why it’s important that they respond. And they’re not responding even after follow-ups

To circumspice’s point, all of this is a non-issue if one responds with an acknowledgment that they’ll get back later; or that this is more complicated than you think it is, please give me some time; or please set up a call so we can discuss. The people who are good at their jobs will do this.

Maybe that’s why I am sensing avoidance - it’s the people who I have less confidence in, that tend to do this
