Oh man, I went to add the guy to my blocked bidders list and I saw another name and went to check out why I added them. Not a scammer (200+ feedback, no negative), just a crazy person that I have no interest in dealing with
They started asking a bunch of questions about multiple unrelated items I was selling.
First they are asking for specific detailed specifications of a commodity LCD monitor...like...all I am doing is googling it and telling you what the Dell website says.
Then he starts asking me about a broken Klipsch subwoofer that I was selling for parts/repair:
- He complains about my photos: "why would you rest the sub on a concrete wall and get it more scratched up?? "....I had taken the photos outside, but the sub is standing on its rubber feet and I can assure you I didn't scratch anything.
- Then he can't seem to figure out how ebay is calculating the shipping. It says one thing on the watch list/search page, but another thing on the actual item when he puts in his address. Ok, well it is probably that price, but I'm just going to charge you whatever ebay calculates (it is like an $8 difference on a $40 shipping charge)
- Then he just wants to confirm that another item I am selling (a lightweight item) actually does have a $5.99 flat rate charge.
- Then he is informing me that he has placed a bid on the subwoofer, but that if ebay's shipping calculation changes, he will be forced to cancel his bid as if I am responsible for it...
as soon as someone outbid him, I immediately added him to my list so they couldn't bid again. Good riddance.
