I don't think that is entirely fair. They care about the stars that bring in the big money. That's why concussions went a big deal the damage is after the career is over.

In the CFL (Canadian Football League) they have advertisements on the sidelines, which the players are always running into. They are designed so that you can climb up them, but players usually just crash into them. But at least the CFL makes some money on them. I can't see any purpose at all for the slippery tarp.

It only mattered because it became a PR problem with ex players killing themselves. There is evidence they were covering up the CTE problem.

NFL only cares about the stars if they're playing and producing. The moment there's a decline in play or injury, the team asks the player to take a paycut or they get cut.

Same with the cameramen underneath basketball hoops that regularly get crashed into by players. You can't move back a little?

I often see defenders intercept passes on 4th down. They would give their offense better field position if they would just drop the ball. I hardly ever hear announcers mention this fact.

But they get another interception on their career stats. Come contract time ain't no one got time for field position but those "I"s are worth $$ to the player.

Dunno, but if you couple it with "life" it means you deserve a falcon punch.
