Too many times I've attended events where you're provided with a hideous over-sized t-shirt to wear.

+1. Though in my case, many of them were for charitable causes where there was interaction with underprivileged children. Not the time to show up in an Oxxford suit, Purple Label shirt and tie, with some Lobbs on. Though if one did that, and also lit a cigar with a 100 dollar bill, I would probably die from laughing.

You've never pulled the "accidental" slip?? "WHOAH! Well... it's in already, so we might as well just go on."

Some good ones over the years. Let's see, I've been in a wedding where I was required to rent a POS three button tuxedo even though I already owned a nice one. This summer I am participating in my wife's father's wedding where I will be required to wear a matching hawaiian shirt of the wedding party's choosing. Yeah I pretty much hate being in weddings.

I hated the military tunic I had to wear at UCLA for ROTC...not because it was a military tunic but because the one they issued me was three sizes too small. It was like performing military drill in a damn straightjacket!

I had to wear a sky blue dinner jacket as an usher at my cousin's wedding. Hated that bit of tastelessness.

Having to wear blue uniforms at a private school I attended for 8th and 9th grade left me with a loathing for blue apparel that endured until I was in my 30s--really very silly, I know.

    A Kilt at a Scottish Wedding.. wasn't exactly forced..but
    a) All the other groomsmen were wearing one
    b) Just to say I did
    c) It was hot out that day..it just felt right

I ended up really enjoying it, felt quite cool, and it made a great conversation starter for all the darling daughters of the extended family in law.

This month I have to wear a black tux, black shirt, and bright red, solid tie to a daytime wedding. I actually did argue with the bride at first, asking for a white shirt at least, but then later I recanted saying "No, I was just giving you crap for fun; of course I am happy to wear whatever you choose."

Army Class "A" uniform... it's a poly blend and was poorly sized when issued to me. The sleeve pitch is way off.

I wish we could have nice bespoke uniforms made up like the British. [IMG]

A Kilt at a Scottish Wedding...

I'd like to have a legitimate excuse to wear a kilt.

Why can two Bapitsts stand next to each other? It might lead to dancing.

My white coat. I guess you could consider it a uniform but despite loving the multiple pockets for all the crap I carry around with me, I detest that stark whiteness of it.

Brown rental tux w/ green tie and vest for a wedding... I looked like a skidmark. I have a picture somewhere, but my pictures never post right, so use your imagination.
