Any thoughts on some helpful things to say to a man who recently got laid off? I am female, btw. My SO has recently joined the ranks of the unemployed.

If it were me, I'd want you to say nothing. A man's identity is tied closely to what he does. This is something he needs to take care of and I'm sure he does not want you to worry over.

Just be supportive. Don't say we can't do X because we need to save money, it will make him feel like a failure. Instead, present sensible alternatives to spending money or going out that aren't too transparent.

How is the fuckn' helpful, man? Why aren't you more sensitive, man?

cuckolding is a good way of letting a guy feel like he's doing something. like holding a camera or being part of the cleanup crew.

Just don't be obvious about it. Keep things dutch at the very least and make sensible alternative for the time being.
