Mexican food ******.

Eat some papusas, Maize/white-bread wheat "masa" wrapped around fresh cheese, fried in corn oil. It's from El Salvador. Can't get enough of 'em.

Maybe a nacatamal from Nicaragua.

Or chicken with rice, in a nice wine sauce. Mmmmm.

But the Getty is unforgettable. Same goes for the Huntington Library near Pasadena.

Oh just forget it and go hiking in Brand Park. Watch out for rattlesnakes.

Horse racing at Santa Anita?

Maybe look at bikini-clad honeys at the beach?

La Brea Tar Pits?

Don't suppose you can wrangle an "industry insider" tour of the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach?

Quickie side trip to Vegas?

Whoring in Tijuana?

Whatever.

If you're staying there, you can spend an entire day just walking Third Street. Consider brunch at Little Next Door but skip Toast. Melrose is just a few blocks north, it's a walk, but a healthy one, and it's another street you can kill an entire day on with shopping, dining and people-watching.
