    I remember getting the still-wet blue dittos that the teachers would run-off in the office.

    The sound of a typewriter. Manual drafting boards. Board games. Recording things on tape. Just writing a letter to a friend.

    The thrill of getting the big 600 or 700 piece Lego sets for christmas, opening up all the little plastic bags, looking at all the pieces, and then spending the rest of the day building it. The ones now days are really lame and don't have many pieces at all. They are too specialized and really limit creativity. Plus they have some pretty weak themes.

    YES!!! Sets nowadays have too many POOPs and too few basics!

    They don't even teach spelling anymore--to tramatik. It's the idea that matters, not how you rite it!

    just being out of touch for an afternoon - out with your bike and a friend and a dog, fishing or exploring.

    spontanious back lot games of ball. the excitment of saturday monring cartoons.

    going to the movies, for a buck fifty, and seeing a half dozen cartoons and two full length movies.

    Not sure, but wouldn't be surprised if they did not. That involves judging someone being better than another, and the trend in this country is not to judge, rate, grade or otherwise take actions that might cause a loss of self-esteem.

    We're becoming a nation of wussies.
