doen't it feel like you're imposing?

I didn't realize anyone had a problem with it. I'll be more sensitive to it in the future.

Strange though, I remember this as being an accepted part of gym life ever since I was in junior high.

Oh... and the "perineum bandsaw" is not an acceptable public towelling technique.
    That made me laugh.

Interesting. I have no problem with it, and I'm 46. Am I one of those older guys?

Hmmm. I don't know how to say this but..

The combination of your avatar (very hairy dog) and your locker room "freedom" put images in my head that I'd rather not have.[IMG] [IMG]

Anyway, after an Ice Hockey game in Montreal, we were changing in a very crowded locker room and the Canuk next to me decided to remove his long johns (bending over in front of me) as I was bending down to untie my skates.[IMG]

I don't really want to talk about that again. Ever.

I feel pretty uncomfortable being naked around other guys. If it's a choice between no shower at all or getting naked, fine, I'll get naked, but otherwise I definitely try to avoid it. I just wasn't raised in an environment where that was common.

Going to gyms or spas in Europe will be an experience you won't forget then [IMG]

Today there was this old guy that would clap his hands together, slap his belly, and then perform the salute that the germans used to do for hitler and start marching back and forth a couple times. He repeated this routing about 20 times. I thought i was in the twilight zone. It is definitely the weirdest thing I have ever seen at the gym.

There is this old Hapsburg-era bath in Vienna which makes the '70s New York places look like Sunday School.

I think it caters to those with an affection for Cocteau's golden scepter.

The baths in Vienna are quite interesting. The Austrian sauna culture is... also interesting. Everyone is naked but one person, usually a large man, fans everyone in the room with his towel while jumping... it's interesting to say the least. The first time I went to the gym in Vienna, at this fitness center called "City Fitness" I was interested to see that the sauna/bath area was co-ed including a lounging area that is naturally lit by skylights. The first time I was relaxing there, two very hot Austrian girls sat down next to me completely naked. That was a good gym.
