Cast iron cookware.
(Least that's what I read.)
Truth. The cast-iron skillet in my kitchen was bought new in the '30s. It would take an act of god to get the seasoning off of it by now.
In my case I've got that, brass knot cufflinks that were my grandfather's, and a set of sterling silverware whose most recent piece was probably cast at around the same era as that skillet. By the end of the month I'll also have a house from 1921 with the original wood siding still in fine shape (...albeit completely renovated inside).
