1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I didn't feel bad for the dude at all for some reason. I felt like he was literally asking for it.

The mensroom on my floor at work has 3 stalls. Sometimes when I go in a dude will be occupying the middle stall when the bathroom is totally empty. Weirdo.

Gah I hate people who do not understand how to use one of the two Optimal Urinal/Stall Sorting Algorithms.

If the other two have been exploded all over, I say this is understandable.

Fatties at work who take the elevator to the second floor. It's two fucking flights of stairs, would it hurt you to lose a lb or two? I work on the 4th floor, 8 flights of stairs and I never take the elevator. Damn lazy fucks [IMG]

Fatties will only get fatter. On the same token, there is this lady who works at the school library. She takes the the elevator to go down 1 story. Every time I see her, she has a 54 once QT cup in her hand, and she parks at the handicapped space. [IMG]
Along similar lines, I've occasionally witnessed very overweight individuals get on the bus and get off after two blocks. I understand that a lot of weight puts stress on the knees, but you've got to start somewhere.

This is why I don't understand why many fatties blame society for their problems. It only takes small and simple steps to keep the body in a balanced shape.

They want to be as instantly gratified in diet/exercise as they are with food.

They'll give a diet or exercise program a shot and when they're not at their ideal weight in two weeks, they go back to their old ways.

Laziness. I know some overweight people who claim they want to exercise "lots", but can't because "their knees can't take it". After suggestions to start cycling or swimming a little to start shedding the weight, and them acknowledging those were exercises they could perform, they proceeded to do absolutely nothing.

To be fair, if you eat by the FDA/Health Canada's guidelines and food pyramid, you're setting yourself up for failure. Depression/addiction/mental issue relating to food + misinformation + laziness and apathy towards exercise = endless fail. I'm a skinnyfat guy by nature so if I didn't love lifting and hence research all these crazy diets I'd probably be on my way to potbelly land.

edit: oh my god, locker room/shower talk. If I'm working out with my buddies, I don't mind chatting in the steam room or something, but the fucking Society of Old Naked Assholes walking about with their shit hanging out, blowdrying their fucking balls while asking me about the weather is pretty irritating. Also, gheis in locker rooms - flattering, but seriously gtfo.

I could write a book on things that piss me off with health. The biggest one? Nutritionists and dieticians. They give shitty advice based on outdated, shitty research but the public trusts them simply because they have degrees. Anyone that asks me about diet I point to the web and tell them to do their own research and be thorough, and to avoid nutritionists/dieticians like the plague.

i think that's pretty unfair. i have a few dietician friends and they have to go through some pretty intense training. and they definitely incorporate a lot of recent research into their curriculum. it's just that there's some bad dieticians and some good ones. kinda like trainers. some of them know what they're talking about, some of them don't

Myself this week. I didn't step foot in the gym all week due to staying up way too late dealing with bullshit almost every night and getting up way earlier than I wanted to for work. I did keep up the IF and didn't cave on the diet, so I guess that's something. Well, here's to the weekend and a new week! [IMG]

Shitty spotters on the bench press. I mean if I say to a dude "Imma rep out 5, don't fucking touch the bar unless it starts moving down" and the guy ends up upright rowing every rep saying the customary "it's all you, bro" every time - well, that is a shitty spotter my friends. I wish them cancer of the AIDS.

shitty bench pressers who bother others they don't know for spots, when the spotter has no possible idea of knowing the pressers ability, strength, lift-off technique, etc. and then bitch afterwards only b/c the spotter played it safe in the interest of protecting their new "client."

and then have cancer/AIDS wished apon them.

    fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk
    you
