    I used to own an A4... it was noce, don't get me wrong, but you aren't missing that much. It's better to walk anyways.

    bimmers if you want performance and handling

    audis if you want the best interiors and a decent ride with AWD (and good gas mileage with the a4s, though, arguably, even the 6/8 cylinder engines are dramatically improving gas mileage as of late)

    mercs if you want to project success and care for comfort and luxury

    I will admit that my A4 2.0T got great gas milage.

    All direct injection engines sound like diesel engines at idle.
