got out of moscow safe and sound.

actually, I was there for 2 days and it went pretty well, I achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve work wise. I also had the best meal I've had in about 10-15 trips to Moscow, and I got to red square - I have a picture from 15 years ago in Red square and I wanted to have another one taken in the same spot to compare, and I just havne't had time to get there when I've been in Moscow the past few times.

also, I got to a steam bath, which I've been wanted to do for a while, it was really cool, very different from any other culture of steam baths that I know, and not my favorite, but pretty cool.

I just realized the other day why my company always has its holiday party/in office happy hours/celebratory meals on thursday. I used to think it was just because they were cheap but our venue this year was decidedly not cheap (modern wing of the art institute).

Then I realized that we have a ton of Jews in the senior staff, some of which keep to the whole not doing anything on saturday/after sundown on friday.

Peeber - you REALLY need to try Rogue's new Maple Bacon ale. I think it would make the perfect liquid base for one of your porky concoctions.

I popped some excedrin, chugged two bottles of water, and devoured my food.

    I feel a LOT better. :)

Man...my office party was thursday night. I had taken friday off to finish a home woodworking project but mostly just nursed my hangover and did some work from home...didn't really get better until I had some ramen at Arami for dinner.

Then I crashed our competitor's holiday party last night :)slayer:)...time to repeat the process and recover before I go to 2 more parties tonight.

Turning out to be a pretty good 3-day weekend

Nice. My company's party is next week. I'm purposely going to not get hammered.. I don't want to say anything stupid to any higher-ups lol.
