So, I've been saying, I have two major things happening. One of them came to fruition today. Sorry, but details are all redacted. However, press conference, three of the local TV stations...it just. Fucking. Rocked. We were the lead story on two of the three major local newscasts this evening.

yesterday was a holiday, and while my wife is away, me and the 8 and 3 year old acidkids went out and had a nice long lunch of escargot, braised lamb and callos. finished off with gelato for them. good times!

Damn Acid, you've got some sophisticated kids. Lunch for me at that age consisted of hotdogs, Kraft macaroni and cheese, and ketchup.

the first stage to them becoming high-maintenance asian chicks (H.M.A.C.) is complete! actually they also love mac n cheese and hotdogs, but I make it a point for them to try new stuff out all the time. of course when the 3 year old asked me what was she eating when I gave her escargot I just ignored her.

    Congrats Piob!

    ...

Me: Holy cow. 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night. I feel like a new man.

Also: class this evening will be spent leaning back and watching the rest of the class give their presentations. I gave mine two weeks ago, early. I might skip, just because.

Finally, I've had this tug-of-war with my son about the amount of work he should be doing for his GT project. He seems to think that a page of chickenscratch is adequate, and his teacher verbally thumped him in front of the class and indicated that it's not even a decent beginning. That was a lesson he needed to get, and it needed to come from someone other than his mean honorary-AZN slave-driver parents.
