I'm having a string of good luck in getting academic papers accepted for publication and presentation. Of course this follows a string of bad luck, but c'est la vie.

im not sure why this is making me happy but i just got off the phone with a customer who ended by saying she is going to sue us. im smiling from ear to ear. i told her she should contact a good lawyer.

People who say that usually have no idea what they are talking about. I used to get threatened with lawsuits all the time. To date, I've never been sued.

I had a good workweek last week. my best trade show of the year, I have been going for 22 years, with a few years missed in the middle. this year I was trying to recruit a regional sales manager for europe, so I was walking around handing out cards and asking people to send me their resumes. got home sunday night, resumes are coming in already.

also, one of our distributors who was there, the CEO called up and invited himself to dinner with me. he has 130 manufacturers that he represents who had booths at the show, he was in town for one day, and he wanted to have dinner with my team. that shows that we do what we do well.

The moving walkway in midway airport right by the train to the city is awesome. Instead of being a bunch of moving plates, it is a rubber conveyor belt.

When you walk on it, not only does it speed you up but it gives you a little moon bounce in your step. Makes you feel like you're in a movie and your theme song is playing :)

I know exactly of what you speak. I don't know about you, but I like going through MDW so much more the ORD. The train ride is smoother and shorter. If you want to drive, the traffic is better. You get through security, head over to Potbelly's, and five min later you're at your gate.
